"Aren't they sweet? Falling in love over the dead things," says Dr Hobson in 'One for Sorrow'. I just love the cleverness of this ironic comment slipped in. It inspired a one-shot and then a few more. As always I offer my thanks to the talented script writers for whose words I have borrowed.

A trip out of Oxford for our heroes . . . sorry to be vague but I am rubbish at writing these little intros without giving anything away. I will update when I can write it concisely. Deciding to go to New Zealand had been a watershed moment. After years of dithering Robbie felt his priorities were finally in the right order; Laura confident their relationship was what she'd always known it could be. But this was them and bodies did have a habit of getting in the way, of skeletons refusing to stay in their cupboards. Set a year or so after the end of series 9.

A traditional Christmas ghost story with a good old dollop of Robson fluff. I suppose this could also be classed as a log-cabin fic, except we don't really have many log cabins in England, so I will have to improvise. Set loosely around series 4 or 5

With all credit to the writers of those fabulous scripts, part two of this trilogy is a series of one-shots, my take on missing scenes. If you need to go back and relive those episodes then go for it! Any excuse, eh!

The body of a young woman dumped in a garage would be enough to keep Dr Laura Hobson busy on a normal day, but throw in a new Detective Inspector to break in and some news on the home front and she's got a lot on her mind.

Written initially as an epilogue of sorts to 'Beyond lakes and storms', but mostly it's a stand alone one-shot offered as a little Valentines' Day treat. I hope you enjoy my take on this moment.

Just two months after that night at the Randolph, Robbie and Laura take their first break away together in the Lake District. Be prepared for a little mystery, but nothing too arduous, buried among the fluff of our two heroes enjoying each other in the beauty of the fells.

A suspicious car crash in the middle of the night and a new pathologist in the department give our detectives plenty to keep themselves busy with, with a little nod to Ramblin' Boy at the end (just couldn't resist it).

Laura is working too hard in the run up to Christmas. Between worrying about her and trying to solve a case before Christmas, Robbie has a lot on his plate. My first little story about these two! They are not my invention but they are lovely to create new narratives for. Hope you enjoy it!

In retrospect, James thought perhaps he'd tempted fate on their wedding night by wondering what tomorrow had in store for Lia and him. In truth, for the next few years, the path of their lives would be over stonier ground and far more uphill than either of them could have imagined.
