Slim contemplates his bond of friendship with Jess

This story takes place during the early months of Jess' living at the Sherman Ranch. Jess meets and becomes friends with a lawman and faces his greatest adversary.

Does running really change a man? If it's a guilty man, yes. But can an innocent man have the same answer?

Andy stands at a crossroad in his young life. Jess comes to the rescue with a Life Lesson for the ages.

Life is hard. Sometimes it takes hold of the reins and leads the rider along a different road. Sometimes that road is far away from home. Slim and Jess are on that road. But the way life is leading them, those roads may never come together again.

Slim hears a conversation between Doctor Sam and Mort. When he hears the words. " he's going to die and soon" he thinks they are talking about himself. He goes about straightening out his life while upending Jess' without saying a word. Story is told by Jess Harper.

Mike is confronted with the age old question on Valentine's Day.

Based on the episode 'The Marshals". What if Marshal McGary had a niece with him when Jess was hurt by the river that day? And her name was Naomi and she stayed in Laramie?

A collection of stories all featuring a day in the life of one of the Laramie characters, most all from the tv show but some from my imagination (you've met them before). Each "chapter" is complete and can be read alone. This "chapter" features Jess and his thoughts during his first day on the job at Sherman Ranch.

The posse leaves Laramie intending to bring back those responsible for hurting more than one citizen. And then something changes, leaving a member of the posse on the run.

Jess is caught between Sheriff Mort on one side and his loyalty to Slim and his family on the other. The worst thing is that an answer is due in three days time.
