Sorry it's been a while but I've had a bit of a writing spate recently so hopefully there are still some readers out there.

This was very hastily written in an attempt to get it out for Christmas, but I hope you enjoy it. Scarily it doesn't seem like a year since I said this last year but I wish you all a very happy Christmas and thank you for still being out there and reading.

Set immediately following the events of The Burning part 2. What were they thinking?

(Fourth time lucky on trying to post this!) I know it's been done before but this is my take on the aftermath of Simone's departure. And a warning - there is a mention of domestic assault.

This is the 1980s and some men in these days were a little…unreconstructed (I'm looking at you Dave!). Dempsey on the other hand is being a bit grown up in this, Harry a bit less so. All comments are very much appreciated, I only wish I could reply. And there's a very short chapter 2.

Dempsey has been away for two weeks and Harry is musing on their relationship. There's a second part to this which details what happens to his flat. Don't know who's still out there reading, but I hope you enjoy!

Harry gets sent on a counselling course which she has not applied for and is furious to find out the reason behind her sudden dispatch to Scotland.

Dempsey doesn't turn up as arranged at Harry's house one Friday evening.

I know this is not everyone's cup of tea but this is an alternative ending to Guardian Angel. What if Crazy Joe did shoot Dempsey, seriously but not fatally and Harry had to deal with all her feelings for him in that scenario. Apologies in advance for medical inaccuracies.

For Makepeace being the only woman in a team in the 1980s must have been tough especially when she was feeling hormonal. Thankfully Dempsey has her back.

Set immediately after the Burning. I think Dempsey was quite battered and bruised by the whole experience, not just physically. Being without Harry all that time must have cast him adrift.
