Three years after saying goodbye to Sam on that plane, Diane returns to Boston, and this time to stay. Now they'll have the ending they deserved, although it's actually just the beginning; lots of happy moments; group moments; and some kind of progress for all the characters. Diane returns to tell Sam something... This is how I would have liked Cheers to have ended when I first watched the finale.

Cheers is thirty years older, and so is everybody else. A realistic look at what a Cheers reunion might be like. Or, what I would like to see in a Cheers reboot.

Diane, unhappy in Maine, happens to tune in to Sam on the sports channel, early season six.

A version of "Simon Says" where Dr. Finch-Royce makes Sam and Diane reflect on their relationship and tells them what they need to do better to make their future marriage work; a version of "Cheers: The Motion Picture" with a better and much more touching cinematographic projection; and an extension of Carla's birthday in season three with a happier ending

When Lilith enters "Cheers" in a distraught state, Sam is unprepared for the events that follow.

Oneshot. The missing scene with Coach and Harry the Hat conspiring to rig the poker game in the episode "Pick a Con...Any Con..."

AU that will first find Sam and Diane in 1993, after their last goodbye, and will flash back and forth between imagined events at different times in Sam and Diane's history, to reach a post season 11 finale ending. T for language, rating may change as I go.

Additional scene to Strange Bedfellows Part 3, in season 4. Sam returns to the office to catch Diane hiding under his desk, and she gets to apologize to him like she'd intended to. What could be behind Sam saying 'I've been thinking about you' at the end of the episode, before he proposes.

Missing scene from s10e2: 'Get Your Kicks on Route 666'. He'd seen her face and called her name. Troubled by this reaction to being electrocuted, Sam turns to Frasier for an explanation.

Set after 'Young Dr Weinstein' in season 5. Diane pays for Sam's meal, Sam pays... for everything else.

Additional scene for 'Fairy Tales Can Come True' in season 3. Sam and Diane walk back to the bar after the Boston Pops concert.

Set right after 'Simon Says' in Season 5. After Diane drags him to Finch-Royce's hotel until the therapist changes his diagnosis, Sam navigates his thoughts about it, and about them. Rated T for language, but very mild.

A little scene that could have followed Sumner's Return in Season 2. After the bar closes, Sam and Diane discuss War and Peace. Sort of. (contains mild spoilers to War and Peace, in case you haven't read/watched but plan to).
