Karma had just been hoping for a nice summer away from her university. And now she's tangled up in an age-long war that she really couldn't be bothered to deal with. Of course, she's going to have to, especially when a friend of hers who she sees as a brother gets just as tangled up.

Her cousin buys a car. Turns out to be a giant metal alien. Who woulda thought. And now she has a feeling that she's in much deeper than she should be. But, hey, maybe that's exactly what she needs after everything she's been through. Whatever the reason, it's some prime karma in her book.
