Sequel to "My Fair Lady" musical, minus Eliza returning at the end. Eliza is fed up with the army of suitors Mrs. Higgins has marched out for her. Henry is equally tired of his mother's various matchmaking schemes. Desperate to live their lives precisely how they want - Eliza with her shop, and Henry with his dialects - they concoct a scheme as old as time.

It hadn't taken long for Eliza to discover that though the letter inviting her to attend Hogwarts had changed everything, things had remained very much the same. Eliza was determined to talk to Henry Higgins. The fact that they departed in less than amiable and that he hadn't replied to a single one of the letters she had owled him didn't matter. The open ending of the play by Bernard Shaw gives free rein to the reader's irrepressible imagination. I do not quite agree that all this large-scale action should have ended with an understatement in the relationship between Pygmalion and Galatea. Betcha didn't know the 1964 film "My Fair Lady" ended near Christmas, did you? Neither did I until I needed another Christmas story and MADE it fit. The short picks up where the movie left off and is the most non-musical musical since my Christmas story last year. I don't own these characters or a convincing British accent.

Eliza begins to search for her own independence and identity, much to the inconvenience of Professor Higgins. He is forced to understand she is no longer his pupil. The story begins where the film ends. R&R please, so I know whether to continue!

It was the word 'vital' that had beset him. Yes, yes, everyone who knew her considered her a vital, lively woman. But Higgins now felt that she was vital to him. A necessary, life-affirming thing that he was meant to... Mine is, most simply, a story of sudden realizations and slow declarations. Come on in!

Eliza didn't marry Freddy, but didn't stay at her former professor's home either. She possesses a flower shop and sells flowers as an independent young woman... and she is often surronded by young gentlemen. How will Higgins react to it? Is he able not to make a row... for instance at his mother's house during dinner?

Higgins realizes he is in love with Eliza. Although she feels the same, she doesn't want to break off her engagement. She doesn't want to have a "lifetime of fetching Higgins's slippers, but a lifetime of Freddy fetching hers." Will Higgins be able to persuade her? Will Eliza change her mind?

This is the original ( Hungarian) version of "How many steps are needed for happiness?". Eliza rajtakapja Higginst, amint az ő hangját hallgatja a gramofonon. A lány ráébred egykori tanára érzéseire, de szüksége van rá, hogy az ő szájából hallja ezeket a szavakat. Vajon Higgins képes lesz félretenni a büszkeségét Eliza miatt? És mi lesz Freddy sorsa?

Eliza finds Henry listening to her voice on the gramophone. Although Eliza is aware of Henry's feelings for her, she needs to hear them. Is Henry Higgins able to gain confidence for a confession, or his pride is stronger? And what about Freddy Eynsford-Hill?

Henry Higgins returns home from a month long symposium abroad to find his new wife in ill-spirits, his servants secretive, and his father-in-law an expecting father. In order to ensure the quiet calm he feels he is entitled to, Higgins resolves to get the bottom of the issue.
