I loved Lawless, but I hate that Howard didn't really get much of a story. So, in true *me* fashion, I wrote him one. All chapters published; this is a fic that's been completed for awhile, but I haven't done anything with it.

Cricket Pate was dead, and his Aunt Winny couldn't afford a casket. Jack's best friend in the whole goddamn world, and Cricket's shit-crazy aunt couldn't even give him a proper burial. "Hello Forrest." She smiled and Forrest swore he was back at that corn field in the summer of '08, the little girl saying his name in her underdeveloped speech. A familiar face returns to Franklin County, inadvertently wreaking more havoc for the Bondurant boys.

Forrest realizes the scar on Maggie's ribs has a much more sinister origin than she told him. Takes place during the scene at the end of the movie, with a flashback to the night she came to his room.

Saw Lawless and I can't get these two out of my head. So this is just some Forrest and Maggie fluff.

he is not a whole Forrest, he is a fraction of a Forrest and it baffles him/ three times Maggie leaves Forrest behind, and the world keeps on going even though it has no right to.

Six years after leaving Franklin County, Elena returns to her family and friends but she is not the naive girl who once left years ago. She yearns to pick up the pieces and continue her close friendship with Forest Bondurant but she learns that sometimes coming back is the hardest part. Forrest/OC

"You were supposed to be there" Forrest croaked, his voice broken and rough like sandpaper. His eyes never left Howard's.
