Set after Max Payne 2, Max's descent in dealing with Mona's death. Hallucinations, delusions, alcohol and a whole lot of painkillers. Not sure if I should just keep it a one shot, since Max Payne 3 kinda made my love for the series simmer down, but enjoy anyways!

Post MP2, pre MP3: Max has finally learned that he doesn't have to wallow forever, with the help of Mona. He could finally become happy again. But then, has the world ever allowed Max to be happy for long? And why was Mona no longer in the picture in Max Payne 3? Hopefully canon-compatible.

Max Payne is losing focus while on the job and is feeling depressed, so his boss gives him a vacation to Miami. However, things don't go quite as planned. Full summary inside.

I originally posted this back in 2004. But now I went back, fixed a bunch of spelling and format errors to make it fit for repost. Summary Max Payne looks down the barrel of a pistol and sees only the end of his journey. ONESHOT.

Its Easter, set after the events of Max Payne 2. Mona Sax is dead, and Max has to live with this on a certain day.
