Apologies for the unoriginal title but it seemed to fit this wee piece of writing perfectly. I was reading Tess of the D'Ubervilles recently and came to wonder, what would have been the thoughts would have played about her head at the time when she fled from Alec before discovering her pregancy. How would she feel in the moments of realisation her life had irrevocably been altered.

This is a parody of Tess of the d'Urbervilles, inspired by Seth Grahame-Smith's Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Thomas Hardy is one of my favorite writers of all time, so this work is a labor of love.
