I watched the last Case histories episode yesterday, and while crying in frustration over the last Jackson/Louise scene, I decided to rewrite it. So here you go. A quick rewrite of the scene-that-shall-not-be-named.

Oneshot. Takes place some time after When will there be good news? I've only read this book, but I watched the complete series, so it's kind of mixed-verse, I guess. These beautiful characters belong to Kate Atkinson, I'm just toying with them.

A phone call in the middle of the night and a decision made by a bleary-eyed Jackson lead to Louise finally appearing in his life again. The trouble is, will he be able to find the words that are three years in the making? Louise/Jackson

Carrying on from the end of 'Started Early, Took My Dog'. Will Jackson answer Louise's call or not?

You are sitting on a bus and you wonder what will happen if you get off.

When Louise returns home and finds Archie cradling the body of Jellybean, she calls Jackson. "My cat's dead." Louise is proud of her independence, but tonight she needs someone, and maybe that someone will begin to heal the scars the corkscrew has left in her heart. Amelia never did quite get over Mr. Brodie... Mainly interiority from Amelia's PoV. Unrequited Jackson/Amelia, mentions of established Jackson/Julia. One-shot. Takes place between Case Histories and One Good Turn. R&R, please!
