There is a woeful dearth of works irative or derivative of Flatland, which, along with such works as Catch-22 and Mark Twain's many short stories, is one of my favourite pieces of satirical literature written in a century not of the 21st nature. This is an attempt to satisfy this dearth, and as with everything I do, probably insulting to the source material in its mediocrity.

The short story will be the continuation of a story I have on Wattpad under the same title. We will learn about the lives of the various shapes in the two-dimensional world, ranging from squares to line segments to the "Irregulars." There will slightly dark themes in the story.
