A new student s Mrs. Jeepers third grade class. This story is set in the premise started by the book "Genies Don't Ride Bicycles". I like the idea of someone making an absurd wish that alters reality and they get stuck like that, even after the genie is long gone from Bailey City.

Ben has known Kilmer's grandmother, Madame Hauntly, since he was nine. This story chronicles their friendship and how it changes through the decades while also telling Mrs. Jeepers' love story. All the children believe Madame Hauntly, Mrs. Jeepers and Boris Hauntly might really be vampires and that Mrs. Jeepers ex-boyfriend is actually a werewolf. Turns out they're right! Now what?
