I am a demanding reader. This means I have high expectations when reading a story. I require good grammar, believable plots and staying true to the era in which you write, among other things.

When reviewing a story, I will be honest with the writer. Sometimes, this might come across as harsh, but it's not. You must be able to accept constructive critcism in order to become a better writer. You don't have to like it, of course. I rarely do when I'm subjected to it. 1e702y

I excel at dialogue and setting the scene. Atmosphere is one of my specialties. I'm good with grammar, spelling and verb agreement.

My weakness as a beta reader is punctuation when involving colons, semicolons, etc. I don't always get it right. The same pertains to my writing. Also, I sometimes struggle with finding the right balance of emotions vs. mechanics.

I prefer to beta stories set in universes that I currently write, Victorian London, Sound of Music, My Fair Lady or steampunk. However, I am open to most stories.

I am not a fan of slash, bondage or explicity sexual solely for the purpose of being sexual.
