My idea of what might happen in the classical Studio Ghibli movie :)

The first time Shun grew out facial hair was a booming success. The first time Shun shaved felt like liberty.

Their story wasn't over. They still had to make it to shore. Things were going to be different for them now that they both knew they weren't related. All they needed to do now was say what they hadn't been able to say for weeks. A one shot continuing after the movie.

"Tak ada masa depan tanpa masa lalu." Itu adalah kalimat yang selalu diucapkan oleh Shun. Walau masa lalu itu berharga, jauh dalam hatinya, Umi benar-benar berharap kalau Shun tidak akan hanya menjadi masa lalunya. Tapi ... "Meru, kapal milik Shun karam di tengah laut!"

The two were rather surprised it wasn't already on the rumor mill. So Nobuko and Yuko were going to talk it up. It would be the most talked about hook-up since Shun and Umi once they were through with it.

Just a little drabble I did after watching "From Up On Poppy Hill" for the first time. I was touched by the amount of responsibility and work that Umi did for the family, and this piece is influenced by that. One-shot
