Noriko is pregnant, and Izark is predicitably overprotective.

Izark has grown up being told he will some day be the Sky Demon of Destruction. He enters the Sea of Trees to kill the Awakening - that which will make him into that which he doesn't want to be. When Noriko is an intellectual, what does that mean for his future? A retelling of The Dangers of Being Intellectual, from Izark's perspective - because the world needs to know *his* story.

What if Noriko arrived at the Sea of Trees as a book-worm intellectual, following the example of her author father? Would Izark still want her in the end, or would the Sky Demon be born due to self-defense...from her? A reader's perspective (my first try at one - please be kind). 5 years after the events of Kanata Kara, Izark and Noriko still face many challenges.

In honor of Halloween 2016, a Prequel in the Take Your Time/Market Day universe. This fic does contain some spoilers for Take Your Time, so if you prefer to live in suspense then you maybe shouldn't read this quite yet. Excerpt from From Far Away Vol. 12, page 179-180: "[O]ne day, he found he was unable to further extend his life. Time caught up with him all at once..."

Summery: It comes as a surprise to his comrades, but Izark doesn't sing ballads. Or anthems. Or odes. There is just one melody in his repertoire—a lullaby.

At times, she feels homesick. Noriko reflects on herself and her new life. Oneshot.

Perhaps it was because he made a thoughtless wish, perhaps it was just time for her to return. Noriko is swept from one world to another once more, this time with Izark in tow. Nothing more than fluff.
